Holding space for vulnerable states is a sacred responsibility, one rooted in profound trust. In this field, which lies outside conventional regulatory systems, uncertainty can sometimes arise over where to turn if questions or concerns emerge. Without formal accountability structures, it may not always be clear who can help when something feels out of alignment.

To uphold our commitment to transparency and integrity, this page offers a list of Mary’s mentors, elders, and peers—trusted figures who know her work intimately and are dedicated to ethical practice in the psychedelic healing community. They are available to provide support and resolution if concerns arise, ensuring the work we offer remains aligned with care, safety, and respect.

This resource highlights not only Mary’s lineage, training, and support systems, but also the community’s emphasis on self-regulation and collective responsibility. Many of us in the unregulated entheogenic trades rely on networks of support and trust to navigate challenges, outside of state-sanctioned systems. Building transparency as our work gains visibility strengthens the bridges that connect and sustain us.

Healing work is relational at its core—it’s about connection, care, and navigating harmony and challenges together. At Myco-Vision, we anchor our practices in trust, accountability, and the values that guide our work.     Dr Michelle Eriksen

    ELDER/ADVISOR

    Dr. Michelle Ericksen is a ceremonialist, medicine woman and teacher. A mystic, and a midwife of the soul. As a first-generation daughter of Northern European immigrants, and the step-daughter of immigrants from Mexico and Argentina, her roots are woven across culturally diverse languages, spaces, practices and values. She has been engaged in ritual work since her 20s, studying with a variety of teachers from both South and North America. From herr teachers, she has received lineage transmissions in Mayan, Mazotec, and Andean practices.

    Working with individuals and small groups, she offers syncretic plant- and spirit-based practices that draw from a variety of teachers, wisdom and shamanic practices*, as well as the fields of education, psychology, neuro-biology, trauma-informed practices, quantum physics and cultural anthropology. She received a masters from Stanford and a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.

    She is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, and a founding instructor in the Subtle Winds’ Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Teacher Training Program. Bilingual in Spanish, she has lived in and traveled to 47 countries. Currently in Redmond with her husband and two big, active dogs.

    Kat Kurner

    ELDER/ADVISOR

    Kat Kurner is a Psilocybin Facilitator drawing from over two decades of holistic healing experience and indigenous wisdom. She helps individuals explore how psychedelic medicines can offer comfort and spiritual connection for end-of-life transitions. Kat helps her clients find their way back home to themselves with the help of psychedelics. Although she specializes in working with people at end life, she works with all who are looking to heal themselves with the help of psychedelics as long as they are medically sound to do so.

  • Melissa Brewster, PharmD

    ADVISOR

    Dr. Melissa Brewster is a Clinical Psychiatric and Addiction Pharmacist who currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy Services at Mosaic Community Health. She has worked as Addiction Medicine Faculty at OHSU in their ECHO program and has been a tireless advocate for changes to laws around access to naloxone, sterile syringes, and other Harm Reduction measures. Melissa has been a leader in the Psychedelic Pharmacy space since 2013, when she started educating physicians, first-responders, and regional festival organizers on the emerging evidence around psychedelic medicines, their potential harms, and how to respond in crisis situations. Melissa has also worked as a medicine guide since 2017, training in the lineage of Julieta Casimiro, one of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Currently, Melissa works with dozens of guides across the country to provide education on drug-interactions and risks of sacred medicines in clients with certain medical conditions. Her personal passion is talking to adolescents about substance use and how to make wise decisions about substance use using basic drug safety principles: dose, source, and intention.

    Micah Stover

    MENTOR

    From a small evangelical farm in rural Tennessee, to Southeast Asia and Buddhist monks, to the psychedelic underground in Portland, Oregon, and now Mexico, the motherland of Maria Sabina and medicinal mushrooms – Micah has traveled the world in search of answers, healing, guides, wisdom and transformation.

    Herr journey has taken her backwards and forward in time through ancestral wounds and lineage stories of trauma, to a brush with death, to wanderlust around the world. Ultimately it has landed her in the middle of a cultural mental health crisis and a psychedelic renaissance poised to be an important part of humanity’s healing.

    Angela Goodstein is a certified energy medicine practitioner, crystal healer, and yoga instructor specializing in integrative practices that promote energetic alignment and nervous system regulation. As the owner of Justicia Healing, she blends ancient wisdom with modern modalities to facilitate deep energetic repatterning, helping individuals release stress, restore balance, and reconnect with their innate vitality. Angela's approach fosters resilience and empowers clients to reclaim their inner harmony and well-being. ​

    In addition to her healing practice, Angela co-founded Justicia Artisan Jewelry, a line of soul-powered jewelry created with ethically sourced crystals and designed to support personal growth and empowerment. ​

    Mikaela de la Myco

    MENTOR/PEER

    Mikaela de la Myco centers ancestral healing, sacred earth medicine, and trauma-informed care, deeply rooted in her ancestral knowledge and practices. As the founder of mushWOMB, she creates education in the sacred earth medicine space, particularly for birthing people, queer folks, and BIPOC.

     In her community, Mikaela serves as a mother, educator, folk herbalist, organizer, and entheogen facilitator in occupied Kumeyaay & Luiseno territory, also known as San Diego, CA. She is a mixed-race Mexica/Aztec person, with heritage in the Caribbean by way of the African Diaspora, and she honors her ancestry from the rural mountains of Southern Italy.​

    She helps administer certification courses, such as ECO Sensual and Herbal & Trauma-Informed Advocacy, and conducts citizen science research forMothers of the Mushroom.

She holds a profound reverence for Nature, music, and movement and weaves elements of all three into her ceremonies. Her easy laugh and sparkling energy puts people at ease and she takes great pleasure in creating sacred containers for transformation. Her biggest teacher has been the grief encountered throughout her personal journey that has opened her heart to gratitude. When we allow ourselves to touch the deep pain of humanity we simultaneously open to the immensity of love.

    Andrea Shuman

    Andrea has been working in the field of natural healing since 1997. She the founder of Mycrodrops a master herbalist and formulator who integrates eastern herbalism and plant medicine with the human design system to help people become integrated as their authentic and whole selves.

    With an affinity for life transitions and women's blood mysteries as sacred rights of passage that require understanding and respect at a societal level, Andrea endeavors to be part of the change to help bring about an end to colonial mentality and patriarchal business practices around plant and fungi medicines, and return to a world where our elders bring the young ones into community responsibility with grace, knowledge and love for the Earth and all her blessings.
